About Me

Hello! I'm a devoted mother and passionate advocate for children with ADHD and the many co-occurring challenges that often come with it. My journey began when my eldest daughter was diagnosed with severe ADHD at the age of seven. Like so many families, we navigated years of trial and error - endless therapies, medications with tough side effects, and emotional strain that tested our resilience.

The guilt, judgment, and isolation were overwhelming. We were constantly second-guessing ourselves, all while watching our child struggle with something beyond her control.

Through this experience, I discovered not only strength within our family, but also a calling. Today, I'm dedicated to helping other families feel less alone. I offer compassionate, non-judgmental, and evidence-informed support for children with ADHD and their loved ones.

My goal is to help children better understand themselves and harness their unique strengths, while also walking alongside parents and teachers - offering a listening ear, practical guidance, and heartfelt encouragement. No one should have to walk this journey alone, and I'm here to make sure you don't have to.

What is a Cognitive Wellness Guide?

As a Cognitive Wellness Guide, I take a holistic view on ADHD and work alongside children, and their families to address the daily challenges these children face - such as difficulties with attention, impulse control, and executive functioning skills. My role is to gently guide and support families on this journey, by equipping children with practical skills and strategies like managing distractions, practicing mindfulness, improving time management, and building healthy habits that nurture overall cognitive and emotional well-being.

How I Help Families

ADHD presents unique challenges - for both children and adults. Difficulties with time management, emotional regulation, task initiation, and staying organized can lead to frustration, stress, and a cycle of negative self-beliefs. Over time, this can impact self-esteem and create a sense of defeat.

I work with children (and their families) to break this cycle by teaching practical coping techniques and tools that support the development of their executive functions. My approach is holistic, warm, supportive, and rooted in real-life experience.

Through our work together, I help your child learn to:

  • Understand and manage negative emotions

  • Recognize and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns

  • Increase self-awareness and confidence

  • Cope with stress in healthy ways

  • Learn and improve social skills

  • Navigate transitions throughout the day more smoothly

  • Build positive routines for motivation and follow-through

  • Master task planning and time management

  • Increase independence

Together, we create a safe space where your child can better understand themselves, develop resilience, and unlock their potential - while you, as the parent, feel supported every step of the way.

How I Help Schools

I also work with schools to bridge the gap between ADHD children and the classroom environment. By providing staff training, teacher support, and practical student-centred strategies, I help educators better understand neurodivergent behaviour and needs.
